Our Counselor
Meet Dave Crandall
Counselor in Greenville, SC
Experienced. Practical. Compassionate. Hopeful.
Life can get complicated. Anxiety, anger, depression, relationship struggles, shame, grief, difficult transitions, and questions about faith can create pain and confusion.

For more than 35 years, Dave has been walking alongside individuals, couples, and teens as they navigate some of life's most difficult seasons. His approach combines compassion, humility, practical tools, and a deep appreciation for each person's unique story.
What Is It Like to Work with Dave?
> Hopeful (Focused on Goals and Strategies)
Counseling should have a direction. Together, you and Dave will identify what you want to change and work toward practical, achievable goals.
> Practical
Dave believes counseling should be more than simply talking about problems. Good counseling should provide practical tools you can use in everyday life to ease symptoms and heal root problems. Sessions are focused on developing specific steps toward change and thriving.
> Compassionate
Dave genuinely enjoys people. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside people during difficult seasons and help them discover practical ways to move forward. Dave works hard to create a comfortable environment where clients can talk honestly about difficult topics without fear of condemnation.
> Straightforward
Compassion doesn't mean avoiding difficult subjects. Dave believes that meaningful change often requires us to look honestly at our thoughts, emotions, choices, and relationships. He blends kindness with direct, non-sugar-coated help.
> Sincere Humility
Dave understands that counselors are broken people needing constant grace just like clients. We are simply broken beggars who are showing other beggars where we have found bread. He will come alongside you with suggestions and ideas as a fellow struggler rather than an "expert" with all the answers.
> Faith-Informed
Dave seeks to provide counsel that fits with each client's worldview. For those who desire it, biblical truth and Christian faith can be naturally integrated into counseling. Dave also works with clients who prefer a less explicitly spiritual approach. The level of spiritual integration can be discussed and adjusted according to your preferences and goals.

A Little About Dave
Dave has been married to his college sweetheart, Magda, for 37 years. They have three adult children, three kids-in-law, a grandson, three grandcats, and one granddog.
Outside the counseling office, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, a wide variety of music, planning his next SCUBA diving trip, watching stand-up comedy, and laughing with friends.
Dave has lived and worked in Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, and now Greenville. These experiences have given him a broad perspective on the opportunities, pressures, relationships, and challenges that come with modern suburban life.
